Yesterday I finished a short story by Andre Dubus, Deaths at Sea. Most of it takes place in the japanese harbour of Yokosuka in 1961. It’s a story about american sailors, racism, liberty nights. Then today I’ve stumbled upon a picture by Shomei Tomatsu in the Moma.
